Volume 1: Issue 2 February 15, 2008


*Super Bowl Sunday 3 man scramble was a great success. Thanks to everyone who participated. We had a total of 14 teams & 43 players. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Thanks go out to Brad Graybill & Wade McBee for the big screen TV's. Added thanks to Wade for the BBQ after the game. A special thanks to Mike Yanity for putting all the teams together for us.

*As you may have/have not noticed remodeling has started on the pool at Pleasanton CC.

For all of you that may not be Members this is just the beginning of a major remodel to the Country Club. Here in a couple more weeks the Pro Shop will relocate to the house, and stay there till all construction is complete. If your not a Member, Now is a good time to join. Talk to Mike Yanity.


*It has been decided that we will have a 3 man scramble, like Super Bowl Sunday, every month. Next one will be March 9, 2008 @ 1:00pm. You must sign-up before March 7, 2008 by 6:00pm. Contact PCC @ 830.281.3486, Ken @ 210.273.2854 or sign-up at PCC. Please do not sign-up and then not show, it makes it hard to try and re-do all the teams.


*At the last meeting it was also decided that it was OK for PPAGA members to play a round prior(same day) to our normal Sunday Tournament. But, any other Tournament you can not play a round prior to the tournament (same day).


*Beginning stages of the Junior Golf Program have been approved, we are now moving towards getting Sponsors and Players to join, Also forming a PPAJGA Board, if you would like to be involved let us know. Let all your friends know we will probably be starting registration as early as March/April. All youth are invited from ages 5-18 yrs.

If you can volunteer your time, or help with a donation, or know someone who would like to be a sponsor, let us know. In order for this to be a success a lot of help will be needed. If you know of any group or organization that we could have flyer's posted, let Ken Arnold know and he will get you some to pass out.


*PPAGA shirts are on sale. They are $30 - $65ea. They will be sold on an order basis only at this time. Normal time from ordering to receiving shirt is about 2 weeks.

Caps should be here shortly, there will be black & tan caps.


*Starting time for our normal Sunday Outings has been changed back to a 1:00pm start time.
